Hello, I am Coach Joshua Abate

​

I began coaching at Henry Ford II, after separating from the United States Marine Corps, in March of 2023 and have been coaching for a combined three years. My responsibilities include Defensive Back coach, as well as assisting with the Kickoff and Punt Teams.

​

Football has been a part of my life since I was 10 years old and I earned the Special Teams Player of the Year in 2017, while at Utica High School.

​

I married my wife Mackenzie Abate in March of 2019 and we have two dogs named Mitra and Sabine.

​

My two favorite college football programs to root for are the Michigan State Spartans and New Mexico Lobos!

​

Fun fact, my favorite restaurant is the Brown Iron Brewhouse.
